What is Pilates?

For me Pilates is synonymous with magic. Pilates has been life changing and life saving for me. After my fall I tried a lot of different forms of exercise and the only thing that healed me completely was Pilates.

Pilates was started by a man, Joseph Pilates, for men at war and then it was transformed for ballet and contemporary dancers. So simply put Pilates will help you get the strength and agility of a warrior and also a lean, long, flexible body of a ballet dancer!

Pilates is a mind & body exercise methodology designed to elongate, strengthen & restore the body. It focuses on all aspects of fitness ensuring you get the maximum benefit from your workout. Pilates can be performed on a mat or on specialized Pilates equipment.
